Gileadites

This was originally some dumbassed image about the perils of gun safety. (I’m by no means an advocate of extreme gun control (which is another unrelated issue), but it was just really ill-conceived and kind of sensationalized.) It originally read “Trigger Locks: Rapist Approved!” I think this is better, though, given the potential peril in which we may soon find Roe v. Wade. (By the way, this image is made to be intentionally reactionary/sensationalized.)

I can’t wait until one out of every three average, everyday women is made into a criminal. Let’s make sure that rape victims have to be further victimized, either by the legal system or by the effect of fertilization on their own bodies, because GOD FUCKING FORBID we actually GIVE A SHIT about the LIVES OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ACTUALLY LIVING, and NOT JUST CLUSTERS OF CELLS THAT MAY EVENTUALLY BECOME HUMAN LIVES. WHAT MATTERS TO THEM, apparently, is that LIFE IS CREATED, NOT THAT IT ACTUALLY EXISTS. THESE PEOPLE are NOT PRO-LIFE, they are PRO-BIRTH.

Let’s see how much you motherfuckers enjoy the Republic of Gilead, if you get it.

Incessant Screaming | #1

This is a comic I decided to start doing based on random AIM exchanges I had with one Alec Kyras of Desperance Dot Net. (I may start sampling from other AIM/IRC conversations with other people as well.)

It’s sort of JerkCity-esque and, thus, involves a lot of penis humor, and therefore may not be for everyone. It’s kind of Dada, and mostly ironic. Don’t take it at all at face value.

Anyway, enjoy.

Brit Hume is an Asshole

~In Which I Call for the Resignation of Brit Hume~

“My first thought when I heard–just on a personal basis, when I heard there had been this attack and I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought: ‘Hmm, time to buy’.”

- BRIT HUME, FOX NEWS, 7/7/05 (Referring to the terrorist attacks in Britain.)

I’m sorry, when did we start allowing heartless idiot subhuman monsters to deliver our news? Oh, right, when Rupert Murdoch bought his first “news” station.

Aside from that, of course, we have this little gem:

“Two hundred seventy-seven U.S. soldiers have now died in Iraq, which means that statistically speaking U.S. soldiers have less of a chance of dying from all causes in Iraq than citizens have of being murdered in California, which is roughly the same geographical size. The most recent statistics indicate California has more than 2300 homicides each year, which means about 6.6 murders each day. Meanwhile, U.S. troops have been in Iraq for 160 days, which means they’re incurring about 1.7 deaths, including illness and accidents each day.”

When called on it, he replied:

“Admittedly it was a crude comparison, but it was illustrative of something.”

Not to mention, of course, his slice-and-dice of a quote from Franklin Roosevelt, leaving out key elements in order to make it sound as though Roosevelt said exactly the opposite of what he actually said.

Where have journalistic standards gone? Why aren’t people in an outrage over this? If Dan Rather would’ve said similar things, he’d have been lynched. What kind of a world do we live in? Brit Hume should be motherfucking ashamed of himself, and it’s time we call him on his cold, partisan, lying, manipulative bullshit.

Resign, Brit Hume, resign. Get thee to the unemployment line and far from my television screen, ye foul beast!
